Nelson Art & Design Co. is owned by Sara Jeffries, a fine artist in Grand Rapids, Michigan exploring ideal, romanticized European landscapes. She has a background in graphic design, non-profit marketing, and the German language.

Sara initially studied art in university as a pathway to earn a degree in graphic design but ultimately received her degree in the German language at Grand Valley State University. Studying German led her to live in Germany for study abroad at the Universität Rostock which fueled her love for all things European. She has always been captivated by the beauty and history there.

Inspired by old world interiors and ideal landscapes of the 17th century, Sara has been experimenting with romanticized European scenes and timeless oil paintings for collectors and design lovers who cherish history and traveling Europe.

She became a fine artist in 2022 to pursue a slow, creative lifestyle and embrace motherhood.
